A Mother's Day Message: Love, Loss & Self-Compassion
Rise Through Becoming Lifestyle Coaching
Mother’s Day holds so many layers.
For some, it’s a day filled with laughter, celebration, and gratitude. For others, it may bring a quiet ache, a tender longing, or bittersweet memories. Whether your mother is still here or has gone home to heaven, this day can stir up powerful emotions.
This year marks four years since my own mother passed. I still find myself reaching for her laugh, her stories, her strength. I carry her love with me daily, and on Mother’s Day, I feel it even more. If you’re remembering your mother today too, know that I’m right there with you—in that space where love and grief gently meet.
I also invite you to practice a little self-compassion today. To honor the parts of you that have mothered others—whether by raising children, nurturing friendships, holding space for loved ones, or showing up for yourself with kindness. You give so much. You carry so much. And that deserves to be seen and celebrated.
If you feel joy, let it in.
If you feel sadness, give it space.
There is no perfect way to move through this day—only your way.
So take a deep breath. Place your hand over your heart. Remember the love that shaped you, and let yourself be held by it.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful, loving, and relaxing Mother’s Day.
With love,
Sandra
